Who we are
KeyDocs is run by producers Janneke Doolaard (ao. The Promise, Diary of a Times Square Thief, Everything has a reason), Hanneke Niens (ao. Oscar® nomination Best Foreign Language Film Twin Sisters 2004, Bride Flight, Van god los, Cloaca) and Hans de Wolf (ao. Oscar® Best Foreign Language Film Antonia's Line 1997, Het zusje van Katia, Bluebird, Nynke).

KeyDocs is an important player on the national and international market for excellent feature length documentaries. In addition, KeyDocs co-operates with Dutch broadcasters producing a wide range of shorter documentaries aimed at a television audience.

KeyDocs works on the development and production of a slate of films that combine relevant subjects and themes with an original visual style. The company thrives on the years of experience of its founders, their vast network and knowledge of the feature film and documentary industry.

KeyDocs made a flying start by winning several international prizes for This is my picture when I was dead (Mahmoud al Massad) and Great Lengths (Ramon Gieling). Recently the documentary About canto, produced by Janneke Doolaard, won the Crystal Film Award for its box office success.

Since 2009, Janneke Doolaard is a board member for the Documentary Producers Netherlands (DPN). From 2001 till 2010, Janneke Doolaard was Head of Documentary at Eyeworks Film & TV Drama, formerly Egmond Film & Television.
